Oliver’s Mount will welcome Next Generation SuperSport bikes to all 2026 race meetings, following approval from the ACU.
After two years of work with the governing body, England’s only pure road racing circuit can now host the same specification bikes competing at the NW200, TT, and across World and British championship rounds.
New Class Structure for 2026
The SuperSport category splits into two classes:
Pro SuperSport – Open to Next Gen SuperSport bikes and tuned traditional 600cc SuperSport machines. This includes the Ducati Panigale V2s, Suzuki GSX-R750s, and Triumph 765s alongside established Yamaha R6s and Kawasaki ZX-6Rs that top TT riders and teams are racing internationally.
Stock SuperSport – For stock engine 600cc, 636cc and 675cc SuperSport bikes, restricted to 130bhp. This figure is subject to downward revision at future rounds if required.
Additionally, the Twins category expands:
SuperTwins – Unrestricted twins and sport bikes up to 800cc.
MiniTwins – Restricted to 72bhp, including air-cooled twins up to 820cc.
“The technical demands of our 2.43-mile hillclimb circuit make it an ideal testing and development venue,” said Racing Director Andy Hayes. “Teams can gather race data here that translates directly to international events. We’ve always attracted top TT talent to Oliver’s Mount – this keeps us relevant to the bikes they’re actually racing everywhere else.”
Since Oliver’s Mount’s rebirth in 2019, the SuperSport class has consistently drawn the biggest names in road racing. The Next Gen regulations ensure that continues.
All four classes race at the Bob Smith Spring Cup, Barry Sheene Festival, Cock o’ the North, and Gold Cup.
